Change Your Reality for the Better
Just like you can flip a switch and turn a dark room bright, you can change your reality. Those who allow themselves to be imprisoned by their own reality follow the pathway to isolation and disconnectedness, which leads to failure.
Reality is what we see and believe concerning our surroundings and ourselves. Many see reality as something fixed, something that holds them back…for them, reality is a prison, but there is another way to see reality. You can see reality as something you can change, an opportunity at every turn, and a condition of growth and improvement.
The ability to change your reality is inside of you. You can change your reality through earning (doing good things). Earning can be likened to the pursuit of wisdom, and wisdom comes from experience. If you know yourself, your destiny will reveal itself to you. If you look outward to find out who you are, you will encounter a maze of tangled paths that lead you in many directions, but in the end, you are taken on so many detours, that you end up no further than where you started. This is why the great sages have always taught to look inward for the correct path to be revealed.
The path that begins to reveal itself as you look inward is the correct path, and like any traveler journeying into new territory, you must regularly reference your map or you will eventually get detoured from your path.
The path that is your destiny is a path of earning. This path is not an easy one to follow at first. You will encounter countless challenges that will make you want to veer away for wont of a more comfortable situation, but unless you take on this challenge you will not grow. Each challenge presents an opportunity to gain wisdom. As you travel along this path you will gain wisdom, inner peace and ulimate success.
You hold the key to your decision of whether to stay stagnant or change your reality so that you are on a constant road of progress and growth in all areas of life.
Once you achieve inner peace it does not matter where you are or what challenges may come in front of you, because your surroundings do not affect you. With inner peace comes the ability and awareness to change your reality for the better and also the reality of those around you.
Wow, this really is such a reminder to all of us who get distracted with the nonstop pace of our digital world that taking the time to look inward and getting to know ourselves can make such a difference on our state of being. Thank you Jenelle!
I totally agree with this comment. People used to have so much more time for reflection, but today, every waking moment provides an opportunity for outside stimulation. We need to actively take time to reflect.
If we could all heed this call, imagine the difference we could make!
Great reminder on the power of self-reflection and self-awareness.
I think many peoples are imprisoned by the desires that has been created not by themself, but by the media and society today. They feel they cannot be happy because they cannot buy enough materials and so they are always trying to catch up. They feel they are always trying to buy the next thing to feel happy but before they know it, they are old and they have never really experiencing the joy of the moment. Materials is not bad, only when it owns you and then you are a prisoner. I like to have nice things, but always I remember to reflect on what makes me happy in a deep way: to be grateful for the life and opportunities and to be a helper of my family members and friends. Also to have the opportunity to confront a challenge and to be grateful for the experience to grow because of it. This is a much more deep level of happiness. And we can have it and also build material things but always to be aware of real happiness.
